ECO Friendly Information

The Daintree Rainforest is a world heritage listed site, and our properly is located within the Daintree National Park, this goes without saying that we need to respect our environment so future generations can experience as much as we get to today.

Our property is almost entirely ECO efficient, please read through the following to ensure you make the most out of your Daintree experience

• There is Limited phone reception – we have Telstra only phone reception on our property, most places and some roads do not have any phone reception at all
• No WIFI availability – we do not offer WIFI to our guests purely because of unreliable internet connection, our internet is satellite based so any wind/cloud/weather interference the signal is greatly effected
• we do not provide bar soap, but we do provide liquid soap and shampoo – this is because the chemicals in bar soap do not react well with our underground filtration system
•  no hair dryers – We do not have power points in the bathrooms, please be aware that this is purely because we are on off the grid solar power and hair dryers use the most power of all electronics, please avoid using them if possible.

The rain forest has so much natural beauty, these days its quite hard with all of the modern technology, make the most of your Far North Queensland experience and switch off and soak up what mother nature has to offer.
